Howdy,
This site shows the evolution of my land and camp in Vermont. I bought the land in September, 1998 after an unusual combination of a sign on bonus and a stock option from two different tech jobs left me a nice chunk of change. I could have paid off the Jeep, maybe bought a top of the line system to replace the P133 that I still use today, but a bit of surfing later and i found some real estate listings, and pretty much on impulse ending up buying fourteen and two fifths acres on a twenty-three hundred foot hill in the middle of nowhere Vermont..
It was probably the best decision i ever made.
This site is mainly just so people that i know can see what i've been up to and see how the camp is coming along. I'm happy to report that the 2002 State of the Camp is strong, and the Camp's future looks bright. Improved cash flow due to finally paying off the Jeep should spur development in the spring. The Range is now 150+ clear yards, and the bothersome trees that interfered with skeet shooting have been dealt with. Harshly. New and improved stove pipe installed, now the smoke goes outside, even when windy. Out house has new metal roof. Yard truck removed. Loft, padded. Fire pit, bigger.
Anyways...
Here's all the pics, thanks for stopping by, send me a note below if you want,
later,
EB

Fearless

You say the hill's too steep to climb,
Climb it.
You say you'd like to see me try,
Climbing.
You pick the place and I'll choose the time
And I'll climb the hill, in my own way
Just wait a while, for the right day
And as I rise above the treeline and the clouds
I look down, hear the sound of the things you said today.

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd, smiling
Merciless, the magistrate turns 'round, frowning
And who's the fool who wears the crown
Go down in your own way
And everyday is the right day
And as you rise above the fearlines in his brow
You look down, hear the sound of the faces in the crowd
